Amy Who? Digital (formerly Amy Hourigan Online) was founded in 2012 when the need to marry up strong technical skills with marketing and communication skills


Back in those days, Facebook was fast becoming a must-have for businesses. Still, so many companies didn't have the internal resources to set up their own Facebook page, let alone use it as a marketing tool. 

I hadn't even printed my first set of businesses cards when I got my first client. 

I quickly discovered that while social media was an excellent way to stay 'front of mind' for some industries, but getting found on Google was where the significant opportunities were. The intent of someone who is searching for a product or service is a lot different from someone who is seeing ads while scrolling on social media. 

I spent many hours day and night studying SEO and using my client's sites to see what worked and what didn't. My early clients got charged about 4 hours of work when I was spending about 20 or so hours on each client, learning how to get the best results while maintaining Googles high standards for best practice. 

While learning SEO, it also made sense to learn Google Ads; Google Ads is a great way to dominate the search engine as well as rank for keywords you haven't started ranking for yet.
